A little guide to your shared memories.
No algorithmic feed here: your memories are the main event. FaMeLite works for any small group, when it feels like family. Start with a group, then decide who sees which moments.

Wonderfully complicated. Connected on your terms.
Grandparents, siblings, partners, children and in-laws: a family is rarely just one circle. Share a memory with the wider family, your household, or both — without sharing every moment with everyone. Each group's admin chooses who to invite. Follow Maya's fictional family below.

Taylor's parents, sibling and their household · admin decidesReal families are wonderfully complicated. Your sharing doesn't have to be. In this example, Vale Family is a 13-member circle, while Maya's Home includes 12 people from both sides of her household. Elena and Tomas belong to both; Nina belongs to Vale Family, and Morgan belongs to Maya's Home. The same people can appear in several groups without making every group the same.
One memory, different circles
The same photo can belong to several groups—and tell a slightly different story in each.
These are two separate group views, compared here. Elena and Tomas are tagged in both groups. Vale Family also tags Nina; Maya's Home also tags Morgan. Each view shows only its group's tags, descriptions, likes and comments; events and places belong to that group too.
For people who belong to both groups, people-tag sync is a choice, not a requirement. Verified adults choose for themselves; a shared verified proxy chooses for children or guests. When both linked groups opt in, their people tags can stay in sync. Leave sync off, as shown here, to keep the tags separate. Memberships don't depend on sync.
All names and group details are fictional. Follow Maya: Vale Family has 13 members; Maya's Home has 12, including the invited wider Bell family. Memory counts are sample data.

Look around
Browse moments by year, month, or all at once.
Maya opens Vale Family's gallery. Year view shows a cover image and item count for each year. Choose 2025 to see its months, then October 2025 to see that month's photos and videos. All shows individual memories without drilling into a date. Events are tags, not subgroups.

Add what matters
Give a memory a little context.
Maya opens the October photo in Vale Family. Tag Studio lets her tag people, groups, events and places. The people, event and place tags, description, likes and comments shown belong to Vale Family. Maya also belongs to Maya's Home, so she can see that group name too — but not its context here. Open the other group to see its own details.
Only Vale Family's context is shown. Maya's Home is listed because Maya belongs to it; that group's people tags, descriptions, likes and comments are not shown here. This is an illustrated example.
Make a collection
Let a smart album gather matching moments.
Maya creates Little lake days for one group: Vale Family. A smart album uses only that group's people, events and places. Elena, Tomas and Nina are Vale Family members; Lake picnic is its event, and Fern Lake is its place. Set the rules and new matching memories can appear automatically — no tags from another group are mixed in.
